I checked up on two female Barred Owls that are on telemetry here on
Bainbridge, and both are on eggs.



One bird is the resident female at Islandwood, a bird that was banded as an
Island bird nestling in 2001. This is her third year at nesting.

The other female is one that hangs around in my neighborhood. She chose to
nest in a tree that she nested in last four years ago. This bird is at least
seven years old.
