Subject: [Tweeters] An eagle works its magic; and a surprise peregrine

Had a group of students out a Bob Heirman Park in Snohomish today. It was
very windy at times, and rainy and sunny in passing waves. On the dike, an
adult bald rode the wind and soared about 8 feet over our heads, then
swerved around and floated above us a second time. You could see its head
move back and forth as it took stock of these strangely colored monkeys.
Later a juv eagle dropped down on some gulls on the river, but they were all
hip to that trick and all flew off the surface before the eagle got close.
On the way home, there was a peregrine perched on a fence post along Elliot
road to the South of the Park.
