Yesterday south of Omak Lake on the east edge of the escarpment there was a
flock of about 50 Rosy Finches coming to some corrals. At least two were of
the gray-cheeked form. The light was good for photography. Later a bit west
of the Davenport Cemetery a cooperative Gyrfalcon was also shot both perched
and flying. It had a bulging crop, which may have had something to do with
