Subject: [Tweeters] Pigeon Guillemots ???

There are many many many Pigeon Guillemots in alternate plumage out on the
Puget Sound waters between Bremerton and Seattle these days, and also some
birds that appear to be PIGU still in basic plumage. How likely is it that
there'd be a mix of alternate/basic-plumed birds now? They appear to be the
same size, but what could I be mistaking for a basic-plumage PIGU? Marbled
Murrelets seems possible, especially at a distance w/no bins, but they're so
much smaller. Any suggestions welcomed, and I'm going to be doing some
studying-up over the weekend...

Thanks,
Mary
