Subject: [Tweeters] Cooper's Hawk in Interlaken

I was walking through Interlaken Park (north end of Cap Hill; second-growth
forest) around 2 pm when I heard a toy-like squeaking call. I began to creep
toward it and suddenly a Cooper's Hawk flew by. I was able to watch it
picking at its kill on a nearby branch for a half-minute or so. Its
undertail coverts were extremely flared out which I thought was odd. I think
it was female due to size.
I've never seen a raptor in this park, so this was a real treat. Has anyone
else ever seen any there?
Thanks.
