Ken,

Very surprised you did not find Snow Geese at Whitcomb Island as there have
been over 3000 there recently. Many times they are out on the river.

We finally forced ourselves to leave and stopped by Whitcomb Island NWR
where a Eurasian Wigeon was waiting for us and tons of geese with a big
percentage being Cackling. No white geese with them yet, but they should
start showing up any day. Sometimes there is over 700 Snow Geese which pass
through this refuge in late March. McNary Dam was close to dark and few
birds to be seen.
