Hello Tweets,

This evening between 6pm and 6:15pm our first male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD of the season arrived in our yard, where it rested calmly on branches of our backyard,as well as use our hummingbird in that same tree. This is about right on time as far as past early spring sightings have occurred in our yard, but it was a nice addition to end the day. After 6:15pm a male Anna's Hummingbird showed up and used the same hummingbird feeder, but the Rufous is probably still around or could have moved on. Anyhow, another Rufous Hummingbird sighting for western WA as of recently for those keeping track.

In addition we still have our wintering flock of 20 Bushtits regularly using our suet feeders,as well as a single Ruby-crowned Kinglet and Townsend's Warbler.

Sincerely,

Ruth and Patrick Sullivan
Fircrest,WA
