There are still a few seats for the audio workshop at UW next month.
This year faculty from the Burke Museum, the University of Washington
and Naturesound.Org will be teaching techniques for recording
sounds of wildlife. Participants will learn through daily field
recording sessions and lecture at Seattle's Center for Urban
Horticulture and several field sites. April 28-30.

Topics covered include:
* Selection and application of audio recorders and microphones
* Recording theory
* Metering
* Recording techniques
* Documentation for sound recordings
* Use of computer-based software to analyze recordings
