The first male was captured on the web cam at 06:42 on 7-Mar-2006. The first
female appeared at 10:41 the same day.



The male did not return, but the female continued to visit the feeder every
two to three hours or so until today, and now seems to have moved on.



During that period 2.06 grams of sugar was consumed (on average) per day. As
I am fairly sure that there was only one bird around, this points to my
estimate for last year of 1 gram per day for each bird as being too low.
