I've not been brave enough to ID a scaup x Tufted Duck hybrid before.

However, this bird had a proportionately large head that was shaped like that of a Greater Scaup, excepting the short tuft. A Lesser Scaup x TUDU should not show this head shape or proportion.

The bird was larger than a female Greater Scaup, which would be unusual for a L Scaup or a TUDU.

Finally, the bird was swimming with ~1000 GRSC and 0 LESC.
