Dear All,
Returning from Home Depot on Aurora Ave. (Hwy. 99) around 10 am this morning
I saw crows divebombing a raptor on a small cell tower west of the Puetz
driving range (around 120th and Aurora?). I stopped the car and it turned
out to be an adult peregrine falcon that proceeded to fly rapidly for
several blocks up and down Aurora three times, giving the rock doves quite a
thrill, twice diving on a small flock. I just saw the note on peregrine
nests in King Co. so was stimulated to report this siting. Also, for info,
the flock of Brewer's blackbirds is still in residence around 130th and
Aurora, rotating among the KMart, Lowe's and Krispy Kreme parking lots.
Several actually begged sunflower seeds from me two days ago at KMart.
