Subject: [Tweeters] Probable Turkey vulture in Black Diamond

Yesterday evening on my way home I spotted a large dark bird sitting in
the cottonwood tree (marked by the attached Google Earth placemark)
along the Black Diamond Ravensdale road in Black Diamond. At first I
thought it was a bald eagle (too large for a red-tail) but as we passed
it I had a good view of its head, which was way too small for an eagle,
and featherless. It seems early for a turkey vulture and being in a
carpool, I couldn't stop to verify the ID, hence the uncertainty.

If you have Google Earth installed, you can double-click on the attached
Placemark file and it will fly you to a location. If not, you will need
to install Google Earth first (available at http://earth.google.com).
