I saw 2 Turkey Vultures over Coupeville near Highway 20 on , March 12 (
there's no truth to the rumor Coupeville is dead this time of year).
Other recent highlights:
* 1st butterfly in our yard, a Satyr Comma, also on March 12.
* 1st Rufous Hummingbird, a female, seen by my wife on March 14.
* Chestnut-backed Chickadees are gathering up the nesting material we've put
out for them.
* A large swarm of dance flies were yoyoing up and down in our yard.
* I thought I heard an Orange-crowned Warbler song but wasn't sure as the
sound was in the distance.
Great time of year!
