We had Rufous arrive on March 4th this year, last year was February 25. No swallows yet, last year we had Violet-green arrive on March 22, Tree on March 30th and Barn on April 20th. We live on the north end of Hood Canal on Squamish Harbor.

Nancy,

Things are running late here at my house too. The latest I've had rufous arrive prior to now has been March 14th. Still no shows this year.

As for swallows we saw several TREE SWALLOWS at Nisqually yesterday, but none in the neighborhood, yet and I'm less than a mile from Nisqually as the crow flies.

Cool, wet weather seems to be the culprit.
