Hi Tweeters,

This afternoon I noticed feathers drifting past our garage. They were
coming from the top of the power pole in our backyard. A female Merlin was
plucking and eating a small bird it had just caught. I set my scope up in
an upstairs bedroom and got many photos. Six of them are in a folder in
the new photos folder of my website. It stayed on top of the pole for
nearly half an hour though did make one swoop through the yard, scattering
birds as it went, then landed on top of the power pole again.
