Correction: Black Diamond turkey vulture was a turkeyBrian,

As there is no Wild Turkey on the King County list this might indicate a colonization event from an introduction somewhere else, or a local introduction. Definitely worth a follow up.

Subject: [Tweeters] Correction: Black Diamond turkey vulture was a turkey

Friday late afternoon we drove along the Black Diamond - Ravensdale road about a tenth of a mile E of Hwy 169 and a large bird with a bare head was again sitting high in the same cottonwood along the road. This time the light was better and I prevailed upon my carpool to stop, and the bird was a turkey. I felt a bit like a turkey as well, having reported it last week as a turkey vulture. We took a couple photos of its silhoutette. It was nervous about our presence and hopped up a couple of branches but didn't flush. It appeared to have some blue on it's head but the light was not very good.
