On November 3, 2003 Jason Paulios reported to Tweeters that a partial albino
Red-winged Blackbird was in the Olympia area. I believe Ruth Sullivan took
pictures of this bird. In Year 2003 there was a similar bird at Juanita Bay
Park, King County, and another one at Crescent Lake, Two Rivers, Snohomish
County. The Juanita Bay Park bird had what I call a "streaked" rump (brown
blotches on white) while the Crescent Lake bird had a "blotchy" rump. The JBP bird
is the most photographed. I have photos of the Snohomish Bird which I did not
see in 2005. In the late 1990's or early 2000, someone reported a similar
bird in the Lynnwood area.
