I just received the following message.

I thought I would pass along info on a female Painted Bunting currently visiting a feeder in Brentwood Bay just north of Victoria. Bird was last seen at about 0800 and is likely going to "stick" for a bit. The bird likely wintered nearby as I doubt it would be migrant this early. This would only be second provincial record. I no longer belong to 'Tweeters', but you can forward the news if you wish.

Directions are on the Victoria rare bird tape. I don't know the phone number
