The partial albino Red-winged Blackbird that had returned to Juanita Bay
Park for the 5th year in early February, seems to be MIA. He hasn't been
seen for over a month, and I'm afraid has met with his demise.

The markings of the Olympia bird are almost identical to the JBP bird.
Margaret Saint Clair has photographed him over the last 5 years, and her
pictures can be seen at this link.

After the excitement at his return this year, it's very sad that he won't be
around through the spring and summer. He was a great crowd-pleaser, and
park visitors were always scratching their heads trying to figure out what
it was.
