Margaret Greger has had a good variety of birds around her Richland yard.
There was a Downy Woodpecker on March 12, a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE on March
13, and a group of Sandhill Crane flying over on March 16.

On March 16, Ron Louderback reported the continued presence of the BARRED
OWL in Two Rivers County Park in Kennewick.

Ron and Carole Louderback found 2 AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS along Baart Road
near Mesa on March 19.

The water level at the Yakima River Delta in Richland has been low. On
March 21, Nancy LaFramboise found 84 DUNLIN, 6 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, and
numerous Killdeer. Also present was 1 CASPIAN TERN and 1 VIOLET-GREEN
SWALLOW.

Marilyn Hayes and Nancy LaFramboise heard a singing ROCK WREN in Webber
Canyon on March 22.

FERRUGINOUS HAWKS have returned to the area. Please remember that they are
sensitive to disturbance when establishing nests. Watch from a distance on
