Friday a second Say's Phoebe was observed at Marymoor Park near the other
previously reported. I was in the area so popped in around 1:30, spotted the
bird after hearing two. I found the area described by Michael Hobbs (below)
by following the signs to the big dog area, looking for the orange fencing
toward the back corner to the left (it might be taken down soon?), and
checking along the split-rail fence. The birds were active and vocal,
ranging along the entire length of this fence and well into the corner.
[a SAY'S PHOBE flycatching from fenceposts in the
southern part of the dog area. This area is still closed off due to flood
damage, but the phoebe could be seen by looking south from the barriers. It
seemed to be hanging out in kind of the southeastern portion, north of what
I believe is called "Swamp Dog Bridge". It spent most of its time on
split-rail fence posts.]
