Spring is truly here when the Turkey Vultures arrive. One flew low over
Olympia's Natural Resources Building yesterday noon. The first I'd seen
this spring.



And this afternoon, coming back from a successful razor clam dig at Iron
Springs, there were a pair of them circling just east of Copalis Beach
(Grays Harbor Co). The skunk cabbage is blooming, hummingbirds are back in
the red-flowering current, and Spring's bustin' out all over.
