This morning I found not one, but two NORTHERN SHRIKES at the far eastern edge of the East Meadow/far southwestern edge of the model airplane field, visible only from atop the compost hill. There was also one WESTERN MEADOWLARK on a post in East Meadow, and later on a stump in the compost pile. At Lake Sammamish, I again saw a GREEN HERON, probably the same bird reported last week. The Say's Phoebe was nowhere to be seen, though.
