Hello All,
With the Othello Sandhill Crane Festival over we have returned home. If you
missed this outstanding Festival this year, I hope you plan to correct that
oversight next year.
This morning MerryLynn and I hiked the south fork of Coppei Creek east of
Dixie, Washington. We located the following species from one site.

Pileated Woodpecker......1 female
Hairy Woodpecker...........1 male
Downy Woodpecker........1 male
Northern Goshawk...........1 bird
Turkey Vulture..................1 bird, first of the year in this county.
Slate-colored Fox Sparrow....2 birds

Not bad for standing in one spot.
Later Mike
