Every once in a while a Cassin's Vireo is reported over-wintering in these parts. Maybe it was one of those.

A few years ago, I was awakened to one singing outside my window, as it moved along a line of ornamental plum trees. It was really loud. That was on Easter morning, when everything was quiet (in April).
