This evening around 5:45pm at the Chehalis Wildlife area (Schouweiler Rd. wetland) just outside of Elma, there were approximately 4 American Bitterns singing in different parts of the wetland. There were many swallows flying around too. I was able to ID quite a few Tree Swallows with a few Violet-green Swallows mixed in. The Osprey pair was on the nest snag as well.
