Today at 11:00, I was pleasantly surprised to find a/the Black Phoebe
back at the same spot it was seen last year, in Auburn.
Here are the directions:
From W.Valley Hwy or 167, go east on 15th SW. Just east of the 167
overpass, take the first left [north] to get onto M street. The road
parallels 167 for a bit, then turns east. The Phoebe was in the trees
and bushes around the little creek that the road crosses just before
ending at Emerald Downs.

Other nice spring birds of the day included my first Barn Swallows of
the year at the Kent Ponds annd Savannah Sparrows everywhere. In
addition, the Western Scrub Jay was on-post on Frager Rd. , just
north of the underpass beneath Kent-Des Moines Rd. and loads of Brant
were out on the Sound between Des Moines and Dash Point [more than
usual, probably 100-200 in small groups].
