Hi all...Yesterday I said I hoped the Hoquiam osprey return soon, and today
I drove by and there one was on the nestsite. It looks as though they are
working on it...the big wind storms we have had did some damage to it and it
is now pretty much intact.

Speaking of damaged nest sites...the Montesano site has indeed lost a bit
more of the top of the tree, but maybe that's the same pair who are
occupying the nest site atop a power pole just south of the Chehalis River
on Hwy 107...that's the road near to the damaged nest site.

If you take that exit south, there is an occupied bald eagle nest just a few
hundred yards south of Hwy 12...on the right. The osprey nest is about 1/4
mile farther down that road on the left..not far at all from the damaged
nest site.
