Saw a few birds yesterday afternoon (4.30.06) in the Kent Valley.

204th Street
Killdeer - several birds including 2 quickly growing chicks
Semipalmated Plover - 1
Solitary Sandpiper - 4 birds; 3 in the field south of the road and 1 north of the road
Greater Yellowlegs - 3

216th Street
Solitary Sandpiper - 2 birds; one in each pond

M Street, Emerald Downs
Black Phoebe - observed from the bridge moving its way west to the 90 degree bend in the road.

Thomas Wetland (on Frontage Road SE of the intersection of Hwy 167 and 277th)
Bufflehead - 1 lingering female
several other duck species

Mitigation Ponds adjacent to Certainteed Windows (on the same loop as Thomas Wetland)
Virginia Rail - 1 heard
Western Tanager - 1 male, hawking insects

It was a good day.
