Tweeters,
Had an 8-sparrow day in our yard, and that, together with the Tree
Swallows that appear to be taking up residence in a couple of our
bluebird boxes, as well as other bird activity, made it a fun
last-Sunday-in-April in Roy, WA.

The emberizids: Spotted Towhee; Chipping, Savannah, Song, Lincoln's,
White-crowned, and Golden-crowned sparrows; and Dark-eyed Junco. A lone
Lincoln's Sparrow has been hanging around all winter, but I've not seen
one in a couple of weeks until Sunday. The Golden-crowned Sparrows are
three that remain from about a dozen or so that over-wintered. I expect
these latter species will depart soon. The Savannah and Chipping
Sparrows were newcomers in the past week.

Had a Turkey Vulture two weeks ago, but this was the first since then.
Still waiting on the first Yellow Warbler of the year.
