I made a last day of April (April 30, 2006) trip out to the Toppenish
National Wildlife Refuge and surrounding area. Migration is in full swing
and the birding is looking up.

Even though I only had a couple of hours to spend birding, it payed off when
I found my first Blue-winged Teal, Wilson's Phalarope, Western Sandpiper and
Least Sandpiper of the season in the flooded fields along Old Goldendale Rd.
