Still haven't seen much diversity in migrating shorebirds yet at seemingly prime Columbia NWR wetlands. I only covered a small area this morning (and did not visit the County Line ponds) but had no phalaropes, only 1 avocet, and only a few Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs. I didn't even see or hear a curlew in a couple of very reliable areas. There were, however, plenty of Black-necked Stilts, Killdeer, and Least Sandpipers. A single Baird's Sandpiper was the only other shorebird species seen. American Pipits continue to move through in large numbers.
