Hi Tweeters,

I saw a crow in a tree with a garter snack dangling from it's claws. Then he wadded it up and pecked away at it. The snake looked shiny, I expected that it was wet and just to confirm my observation the crow flew down to the rocky stream bed. dunked his prize and continued the meal. I circled around so I could get a better look. I got good looks but I went one step too far and the crow with the snake dangling from his claws flew back up to the treetops. It reminded me of the Eagle ( ? ) on the Mexican Flag.

Is garter snake usual food for crows? I've never seen one eating one before. Except maybe road kill.
