Tweets,
I'm always amazed at what seems to be a magical big day number for king
county. Three times I've done King County big days with 3 different people,
1997 with Jim Flynn, 1998 with Jason Starfire and 2000 with Ryan Shaw. The
numbers were 112,112 and 110 respectively, despite a cumlative total of 138
birds for the three years. 4 different big days in the last two years by
excellent teams have failed to break over 112. I have no doubt that more
could be had in a king county big year, but despite the day the number
always seems to end around 110-112. It will be interesting to see the
attempts in future years. I've said time and time again that 120 should be
very possible in a king co big day, yet I've ended 3 long days of birding
with having a different result as have Gene, Michael, Brian and others now.

Very interesting.
