I know that Dian keeps track of Turkey Vultures in the area and I was quite surprised to see 20 (plus or minus a couple) rising out of the trees about 2 miles north of Wilkeson, WA about 8:30 this morning. Had to be somewhere and I didn't have time to stop and get a better count or see if there was a roost site. Most were barely over the tree tops not flapping, some up to 100 feet higher, with one over the road (below tree tops) actively flapping. I didn't see any roadkill.
