Tweets,

This morning I had a singing ad. male WHITE-THROATED SPARROW
(white-striped morph) along the "bluebird" trail that leads to
the river from Stillwater. The flock was feeding on the trail
in the same spot where one views the WESTERN BLUEBIRDs before
reaching the BANK SWALLOW colony at the bluff.

It is associating with 8-10 Golden-crowned Sparrows and several
White-crowned Sparrows. It's singing a weak/broken rendition of
the 'peabody' song, or sub-song. There was also one Lincoln's
Sparrow nearby.

With the sparrow, bluebird, and swallows all in evidence, it was
hard to think I was in King County. Thank you, Gene, for putting
this excellent area on the map for us.

Lots of activity there this morning. I hated to leave but have
to go to work :(
