The recent Consumer Reports rates repellents for mosquitoes, ticks, etc.
While we are much better off in the Pacific Northwest than many areas from
such pests, as we all know there are places where protection is needed or
desirable.

The clear winner was "Off Deep Woods - For Sportsmen".

Also well-rated were 3M Ultrathon, Cutter Unscented Outdoorsman (please
complain to Cutter, not me, regarding the sexist name), and Ben's 30
Wilderness Formula. Some products by these companies did not rate well.

Botanical formulas might as well be labeled as marinades - since they work
very poorly.
