Tweets,
Monday, May 8, I encountered 75 species around Tenino. Lots of migrants. I
tried a new spot on the rail-to-trail walking/biking path that skirts the
south edge of town between moist woods and back yards. 38 species, the most
interesting: calling Swainson's Thrush(es?) accompanied by a Hermit in
half-voice; three newly arrived male Black-headed Grosbeaks singing
adamantly and chasing each other around like their lives depended on it;
sizable flock of Wilson's Warblers.
Good birding!
