Hello all,
Today on our Wed. walk around Bennington Lake east of Walla Walla we found
our first chat of the year - also a Dusky Flycatcher which puts the county
year list to 199. A Lazuli Bunting gave us nice views and the Calliope
Hummers are displaying on territory. Yellow Warblers are abundant. There is
still a 1st year N. Goshawk hanging around the northeast corner of the
lake - don't know if it is the same one seen off and on for the last 2
months. The Great Horned Owl chicks are fledged and not on the nest.
Thanks to those who reported birds seen in Walla Walla Co. over the
weekend -
Later, ML
