Tweeters,
Cloudy skies, some water spitting down, but warm with a slight north
breeze at Turning Basin #3. It appears that the north Oxbow parking lot
Osprey is sitting tight on the nest. The male was on the light tower to
the south, which is apparently used as "his" primary lookout/roosting
perch, much as the Hamm Creek male uses the west-bank power tower at
that nest site.

Some sandpipers were still in the area, but were preening and feeding on
the mudflat directly to the west, near the new restoration area, rather
than the south shore.

The Tree Swallows were still looking for a home. Two Caspian Terns were
side-by-side on the restoration peninsula. A crow was working on a
rather long (dead) garter snake on the west bank.

Bird of the day: Yellow-rumped Warbler, which was feeding in the shrubs
along the east bank. First warbler that I've seen here this year.
