Hi tweets,

Had a very good evening of birding at the Montlake Fill and the area east of the UW stadium. Got 3 decent first-of-year birds (Spotted Sandpiper; Vaux's Swift; Green Heron), as well as many other good birds, like Brown Creeper; Sora, Virginia Rail; Cinnamon Teal; Orange-crowned Warbler; Ring-necked Pheasant; and 5 swallows (Cliff, Barn, Tree, Violet-green, Northern Rough-winged).

Interestingly enough, I was also blessed with all 4 common freshwater aquatic mammals in the area: River Otter; Nutria; Beaver; Muskrat. Twas a good evening to be around the UW/Fill area!
