Upon completion of the Seattle Audubon field trip yesterday I decided to continue birding in the region and campout overnight in the Robinson Canyon area. Early yesterday evening I drove up the Umtanum Road just south of Ellensburg to try and pick up a few more year birds and did get a SAGE THRASHER and a few BREWER'S SPARROWS about a mile southwest of the Durr Road intersection.

At Robinson Canyon, while setting up my tent, there was a CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD perched nearby and a BLUE GROUSE booming not to far away. I then took a few minutes to look around and found a MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE and both WILSON'S and NASHVILLE WARBLERS in the area. That evening while trying to sleep COMMON POORWILL were calling, a suiting end to a fine day of birding.

Cheers and Good Birding;
