Subject: [Tweeters] Steller's Jay Question.

Greetings all,

I was scouting around Point No Point in north Kitsap County this morning when I noticed a reather large flock of Steller's Jays flying circuits back and forth along the beach south of the lighthouse. I had never seen this many so close together before (at one point I counted 28 of them) and it seemed odd that they would be bunched up at this time of year instead of off in breeding pairs. There was no sense of urgency about their movements, no unusual food source and no mobbing going on. Just a large loose flock.

Any ideas?

-Rolan
