I sometimes wonder why I don't see the native Nuphar polysepala (N. lutea
ssp. polysepala) - Yellow Pond Lily much in the Seattle area. I've
suspected the carp. Does anyone know if they are known to be a significant
factor in that. I also suspect the non-native Nymphaea odorata - Water Lily
may be outcompeting them in some places. I'd love to see some Nuphar
polysepala (re-?)established in Andrews Bay by Seward Park in Seattle among
other places.
