While walking in Seward Park today I was buzzed a couple of times by
hummingbirds. It got me to thinking that I'd never seen a hummingbird
nest in real life.

An hour later I was standing in the garden and noticed a female Anna's
Hummingbird sitting in a tiny cup of green stuff on the branch of the
apple tree. I've crept back now a couple of times, and indeed, the tiny
cup is shaping into a nest. It's so small! I'm just delighted.
