Two WHITE PELICANS were found by Carol Kohler at the Steigerwald
Lake NWR on Wednesday night as she left a meeting of the Columbia Gorge
Refuge Stewards. By the time I got home from the meeting she had left a
phone message for me about the birds but it was already to dark to go
back and look for them. Luckily they were still in the pond as I drove
past the refuge at 6:30 this morning on my way to work.
