I recently drove along the bluebird trail that someone used to maintain just
outside of Cle Elum. It's north of 970 near where Teanaway Rd heads off.
Although there were a fair number of both mountain and western bb's present,
the houses themselves and the fence posts they hang on are in pretty bad
shape. I wonder if any one on Tweeters knows who used to maintain these
boxes and what the story is. It's a shame to see this very established
bluebird community fall by the wayside.
