At 8:00 AM today there was a WESTERN KINGBIRD along Norman Road in Snohomish County.

Closer to noon at Kent Ponds in King County, there was a singing male LAZULI BUNTING along the trail near the sough tower. In addition, there was a pair (male and female) of LAZULI BUNTINGS around the mitigation pond east of the south tower (south of the paved trail). Keep an eye out for a nest!

Today there was also a WESTERN KINGBIRD on a fence post close to the Black Phoebe bridge near Emerald Downs in Auburn (King County). I did not see or hear the phoebe today.

The Boeing Ponds continued to be productive today. There were 8 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, 1 GREAT EGRET, 2 GREEN HERONS and a boatload of SPOTTED SANDPIPERS.

It was a good day.
