There has been some talk of Pine siskins recently. Of a note is the
lingering presence of Pine Siskins in our yard. We usually have 15-20 PISI
during the winter at the feeders. This winter none showed up until early
January and only about 6-8 birds. However we still have 4-5 of these birds
coming regularly to the feeder. This seems fairly late for this species to
be lingering (without banding them, I don't officially know they are same
birds). I keep checking daily to see if they persist and were still at the
feeders as of this afternoon May 22.
