Subject: [Tweeters] Help with Japanese heron identification

The other day I was landing at Noritake airport near Tokyo and saw in the space of a mile or so two different herons as I was looking out the plane's window. They were large and uniformly grey across the the wings and back. Noritake is a only a few kilometers inland, could it be Pacific Reef Heron? They were flying down a small river or slough.
